New poll finds 9 in 10 Native Americans aren’t offended by Redskins name

A new Washington Post poll found that 90% of Native Americans are not offended by the Washington Redskins team name. Does this feedback affect the campaign against the name?

To be honest, I am not that surprise by the results of this poll. As for myself, I understand the issue of the name but I am not offended by it. We have been stereotyping teams since the beginning of professional sports. If we are going to start being PC with names, we have to do this across the board - not on a case by case scenario. Not only names but logos as well, but I feel like that would be a slippery slope if we do.
